Nations Baseball Roster FAQ’s

Roster information:

Any team that has won a Nations Baseball qualifying event after April 1st 2009 – Present will have their Roster Frozen in VA.

State Tournaments: Any team that is frozen will still be allowed their 3 adds before the start of the event.

Frozen Roster: if a Team has already qualified and the berth is passed down to you, your roster will be frozen but the manager will have the option not to accept the berth in his admin panel and it will be passed on to the next team to accept.

Parent Module: In the spring of 2010, this option will be available and was created for protection to the parents for their child. Now with Nations Baseball no manager can add a child to his or her roster without the consent of the parent. All parents will be required to create a Free Login w/Nations Baseball – once you have entered your roster online each parent will have to attach their child to your roster and approve their child being on your team roster. If any change is made to their child they will get a message notifying them of this change and will have to accept or refuse the change in their admin panel.

All Parents that create a free login will have the option to sign up for Text Messaging for Scores, Pitching & Weather Updates, just like the team manager will get during the event as updates are done by the director.

Adding a Player to an older age group: when the team manager adds a player that is below the age group they are playing, the team manager will get a message notifying him of the consequences if he chooses to add that player, if he chooses yes then the parent will get a message afterwards to approve this move as well and also be notified of the consequences.

This is a two-part system.

Once the parent accepts this, the player will no longer be eligible to play on a Select team in their age division, if the team decides to keep that player in his age division, they will automatically be moved up to the next division of Elite Division In all regards Nations Baseball wants your team to play teams in the same age bracket and if you are playing younger kids that aren’t in that age division then they aren’t considered Select players in their age division anymore.

Can my child be on multiple rosters? Yes – but who ever the player plays with first that qualifies with is frozen with. Once you are frozen you cannot return to their roster until the other team releases the player.
